Introduction
Lindy Hop MKE operates as an independent swing dance school in Southeastern Wisconsin. We are a community-driven group and do not own a physical studio space; instead, we partner with independent, third-party venues to host our classes, workshops, and social dances. By attending our events, you agree to respect the physical property, staff, and specific rules of whatever host venue we are utilizing for the event.
Registrations
To attend our classes, students register in-person or online using our WordPress event registration forms. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information (such as you legal name and email address) during the checkout and signup process. You are responsible for ensuring that the email address provided is active, as your digital event tickets, schedule adjustments, and class notifications will be delivered there. All in-person registrations may request to see a copy of all Terms and Conditions prior to registration.
Payment and Fees
All paid registrations are processed securely through PayPal. Lindy Hop MKE does not store, see, or retain your credit card or financial data. When you complete a transaction, our ticketing system issues a digital registration confirmation or ticket. A valid digital or printed confirmation is required for entry to the class. If a payment is reversed, disputed, or declined by PayPal, your class spot will automatically be forfeited. All credit card processing fees will be explicitly disclosed during the checkout process. By registering for dance classes online, you agree to pay the designated tuition and any associated registration costs. All online credit card processing fees are non-refundable. This fee covers the administrative costs associated with processing credit cards securely online through our payment gateway. If you wish to avoid this fee, registration and payment can be completed in-person via cash or check prior to the class.
Cancellation and Refund
Because we must pre-book our host venues and commit to rental fees based on registration numbers, we enforce a strict cancellation policy.
Refund requests & Processing Fees: All student-inititated refund requests are accepted in writing via email, lindyhopmke@gmail.com, at least 48 hours before the start of an individual class, series or specific event. All refund requests are subject to a full refund of the base registration price, minus the non-refundable 3% PayPal credit card processing fee. Please note this processing fee is retained by PayPal at the time of the original transaction and cannot be recovered or refunded by us. If you wish to avoid this fee, you can opt to transfer 100% of your payment as a credit toward a future class.
Late Cancellations & No-Shows: Cancellations made under 48 hours, or missing a class mid-series, are not refundable and cannot be applied as a credit towards future classes or series.
Discounted class punch cards: Prepaid punch cards are non-refundable and are valid for 1-year from the date of purchase. Class punch cards are non-transferable and are not valid on workshops, socials, and events.
Event Cancellation by Lindy Hop MKE: If Lindy Hop MKE must cancel a class due to instructor illness, severe weather, or venue issues, we will notify you via the email provided at registration and issue a full or pro-rated refund for the canceled session. If a class is canceled for lack of registrations, you will have the option of a full refund or a credit towards a future class of equal value.

Concerns may be raised in person or by email at LindyHopMKE@gmail.com.
Please share as much relevant information as you feel comfortable providing. Concerns will be handled as discreetly as reasonably possible, although information may need to be shared to address a safety issue or respond appropriately.
If there is an immediate danger or medical emergency, contact venue staff or emergency services as appropriate.
8. Responding to Violations
The organizer may take reasonable action in response to conduct that violates this Code of Conduct or compromises the safety and well-being of the community.
Depending on the circumstances, this may include a conversation or warning, a request to stop a particular behavior, removal from a class or event, or restrictions on future participation.
Serious misconduct may result in immediate removal without a prior warning. Any decision will be made with regard to the circumstances, the safety of participants, and applicable law.
Refunds following removal or exclusion will be handled in accordance with the applicable event terms and any legal obligations.
